Eagles Remote Learning Resources Week commencing January 18th
Eagles Learning resources Week beginning January 11th 2021
Kaspar Prince of Cats, Whole Book
Now that we are back in lockdown we will be providing remote learning activities for the children who are not in school.
Where possible this will be the same learning that the children in school are doing.
We will be doing some live and some recorded lessons.
We will communicate by DOJO and email and also use the school website.
We will always tell you through class DOJO where we are putting work.
If you have any questions or worries, please contact us by DOJO in the first instance.
Welcome EAGLEs to our SPRING TERM.
Welcome to Eagles, Mrs Bramley, Mrs Warner and Mrs McHaffie our teaching assistants.
This term our topic will be ‘The Titanic'. We will be reading 'Titanic Survivor' and 'Kasper, prince of cats' and using these and our topic as inspiration for writing instructions, explanatory texts, balanced arguments and many more. We will also be learning about life cycles in our Science work.
Years five and six are important years as we prepare for the SATs and the transition into secondary school. To help the children with this please encourage them to read at home and then quiz them on what they have read. Please use ‘why’, ’how’, ‘how do you know’ and ‘what makes you think that’ as sentence starters.
Times tables are really important in our Maths work so rehearsing them will really help (times tables rocks stars is brilliant for this; all children have a login). Every week the children will attempt to progress on their timestables journey, please encourage them to practice.
Please come to school in your PE kit on Thursdays and Fridays.
Each term Eagles will have homework as well as daily reading and weekly spellings to learn, spelling tests will be on a Friday.
